Django

Wooohooo!!!...
After so long time I decided to write something. Cause yesterday was The Day. First time ever I went to the Czech cinema. It was funny, kinda old school, no high technology like screen where you can show where you'd like to take a sit. Whatever.
Django. By Tarantino. Before I decided to see that almost everybody was telling me that it's so awesome, cool and impressive. I wasn't really interested, cause I was afraid that it's gonna be like all of those new movies - shitty. Even Karel Schwarzenberg* (here you can see his achievements) said that this is really nice movie, so finally I moved my lazy, heavy... body, bought a ticket and saw that. Okay, actually visiting Czech cinema was weird, but funny experience. I had botle of coke, cheesy popcorn, and then advertisements started. I really don't get them. I understand Czech a bit, I can communicate but I don't get this weird sense of humour... Okay, so back to Django. After advertisements movie finally has started. Firstly it remainded me Amistad. But then... Bloody Tarantino. Totally. The movie is full of surrealistic scenes, thing I really liked was music which seemed to not fit to what you could see.

I've never thought that I may like Di Caprio. But his role, the character he created was outstanding. And respect for still playing eventhough he hurt himelf, he was bleeding... Guy is incredible. And Samuel L. Jackson. I really liked him. Firstly I didn't recogize him, he got older (of course, I know that he had some make up as well and stuffs), he was just awesome...

Sorry for no pictures. No time for that.

*As you can guess Karel Schwarzenberg is not his real name. :)

Finally 2 DAYS IN NEW YORK

Here comes the sun. The Autumn actually. Nevermind. Finally I moved my mind and found few minutes to write about that. Two days in New York. Must’ve been excited… ;)

Ok, so firstly: I love to learn about differences between cultures. Europe’s America’s mom, so you could think that there’s no huge differences beside this that America’s very spoiled teenager. ;) Anyway – movie. Marion’s mom’s  dead, she invited her dad and sister to visit her and her partner in New York. She’s the photographer, her exhibition’s gonna be open soon.  Family’s coming. We all love when our beloved parents or siblings visiting us (actually I’m the one who visits them more often that they visit me, but it’s okay). But where crowds are, there’re problems!

Movie’s maintained in the key of really good sense of humor, sarcastic jokes and funny dramas.  Surprising final.  Love that movie. J
Next time it’ll be “To Rome with love” – similar climate.

BTW. I think I have to see some shitty movie, than I’ll be able to write something more interesting then I’ve written till now. Krysztally inspired me.

Sorry for no pictures...

Trip

I moved. ;) I mean I went out, made a little trip up to the hill in my neighborhood. And found out that there's castle on a top of this! Just kidding, knew about it earlier. ;) it was very lovely day, unfortunately I got to the top to late, so I couldn't get in the castle but at least I could walk around and take some photos. :)
Here they are:

Entrance to the castle, pic taken by mysef ;)

I'm guessing that this is cannon or something like that (liked to play tower-defense games ;))

The hill is quite high and steep, it was quite hard to get there but it was worth it. :) And view from top... Amazing:

view ;)

Bollywood

Another not movie review... I started cooking. Again. Yesterday I was making pancakes (or naleśniki), made a paneer cheese and today...

Today is the Day. I made Paneer Pakora!

hand made paneer pakora made by myself :)

It isn't as good as I've eaten in Indian place, I forgot that it's good to make some dips to this... Next time I'll make garlic dip and cranberry chutney. And more paneer. :)

Eaten already...

How to win with Bear Grylls

Surprise - it's not movie revew this time! It's survival's review - how to make pierogies (not dumplings, Polish "routhenian/russian pierogies". :)
I just moved in to another apartment in antother city in another country... And I forgot to pack lots of usefull stuff. I wouldn't be myself if I packed... Anyway. I don't have any grinder, roller and pan. And I made pierogies. :D

Firstly I'd like to introduce how I've started. I went to the store by my feet which was 2 km one way and 2 km back (it was easier to going back - more of my way was down the hill ;)). I've bought ingredients, which needed to sacrifice one of my beauty nails... :( but it's not so bad, only gel busted from one. Anyway, when I got home I had to repair that, so I used my favourite nail stickers, so every nail looks like others. (recommend, love this stickers!!!)

pic of my nails and very important mug - I was cutting circles using this one :)

When my nails were already repaired I could start with making pierogies. For first I boiled potatoes, when they got cool I grinded them by fork and knife. I add curd (white cheese), salt, pepper and... Nutmeg! Yeah, I've found it! In Czech store! I'm so happy cause in Poland I couldn't find it anywhere, dunno why. So I add that all,  mixed and stuffing was ready. Then I had to make dough (or how to call it - suggestions are welcome ;)). It's so easy to make it, cause recipe is so simple: only flour, water and oil. Proportions were measured by my eyes, so I don't know exactly. :) When it was ready, I started to make pierogies. :)

Yeah, my hand made pierogies ready to bury them in a fridge ;)

As I've written in an introduction I don't have roller, so I used hair spray bottle dressed in foil as a roller. As you can see it's good to have hair spray, I can recommend you Silhouette by Wella, any kind, 750ml. ;)

Mess I had to clean up after pierogies-making

And for a dessert I'm linking video of great, gifted artist Elisete (!), I've just found her somewhere on YouTube and I'm very impressed.

Enjoy! :)

Amber Chamber and Hans Kloss

You won't believe that! Firstly - I am back, online, writing another review!!! Secondly - yesterday I was in the cinema. :D
I'll start with history and childhood again... As I wrote before I was born in Masuria which was great part of Eastern Prussia. That determinated my various interests... As child I believed that I can find a treasure which Germans left. When first time I've heard about Amber Chamber I was so excited! I studied every book about that, I've made lots of researches, I believed that I am the one who can find this... No worries, I haven't found it. Yet. ;)

Amber Chamber, pic from net

Anyway... Hans Kloss. He's like Polish James Bond. Even better. Action, tention, riddle, mystery... Loved this movie!!!

Hans Kloss (S. Mikulski) and Tomasz Kot - similar? ;)

One of my favourite Polish actors was Hermann Brunner in retrospections, I mean Piotr Adamczyk. I remember him from radio play "Les Miserables" by Victor Hugo, he gave his voice for Marius character... I'm unfocused again... As always.. Nevermind...
Amber Chamber. Mistery of Third Reich. No one knows what happened to this. Only Hans Kloss could solve this. And he did! :)

MŻT as Elsa

Costumes were good enough, I just didn't like old Elza's character. Marta Żmuda-Trzebiatowska was playing her young (17) and old (~50), but unfortunatelly... She didnt fit. As young she was looking too old, as old she was looking too young. :( I like MŻT, she's so beauty. But it wasn't good choice to make her teenager. ;)

MŻT in natural enviroment ;) pretty, isn't she? :)

There's nothing more I can write, so that would be the end. Enjoy Hans Kloss movie ;)
